The tomb is empty
I’ve been racking my mind all day trying to come up with the perfect Easter blog. trying to create words that would pierce hearts, but it hit me I was trying to over complicate a very simple message.
a few weeks ago my family and I traveled to Israel for spring break. we visited the garden tomb which is where many believe, and I’m gonna have to agree, Jesus was buried and raised again (based on scripture that aligns with his arrest, death, and burial). on our way to see the garden tomb my mimi kept saying, “remember what the most important thing about the tomb is? that it’s empty.”
the tomb is empty. Jesus is not there. his body was not stolen. He raised himself from the dead. our God has overcome. our God defeated death. our God is victorious.
the tomb is empty… we checked.
